I had my first sales breakthrough today. I am so glad I have not thrown in the towel. Today, I was listening to a book on tape and the reader said that public schools do not teach money savvy. Well, that’s not completely true. Even though I believe parents need to do this, I learned in public school.
It started in seventh grade and my teacher had newspapers brought in daily and we followed stocks we had purchased virtually with a limited amount of money. We followed our stocks and were rewarded on our financial success. We could research or choose our stocks however we wanted. I loved that class. It was only the first ten minutes but it was awesome.
When I went on to high school it continued in finance class, with learning how to use a checkbook, run a business, stock a store, marketing and yes even taxes.
I guess I was lucky because that knowledge stayed with me. I have always had my financial ups and downs but I will succeed on some level always.
I hope you do too.
